So I watched the movie "OLD BOY" yesterday! WOW! That movie is very intense both graphically and thematically. Its about a Korean man who is kidnapped and locked away in a hotel room in Korea for 15 years. I wont tell the ending but I will warn everyone that it is VERY INTENSE! I really enjoyed the movie because unlike a lot of other Korean movies I have seen the acting is very good. The story is very amazing and intense. Its about incest which is a very intense topic. I don't think it is a good reflection on what I have seen in Korea because it has lots of violence and the Korea I know is very peaceful.. except for the drivers!!
Yesterday I taught Jane, Tom, Emily, and Melody. Wednesday's are my favorite because both places I got feed me a big dinner so I get to eat twice!! It was fun! I taught Melody the Hokey Pokey song and showed her her left and right hands and worked with Emily on Capitalizing letters in sentences. Jane is very far behind for her age because she relies on an electronic dictionary. I am realizing how unhelpful they really are! Tom has short 15 minute lessons and we work on the alphabet and colors.
Today I am teaching then hopefully I'll make it to the bookstore again. I got a call from Sally today saying that the teacher jihyun (gee-han) wants a sencond lesson tomorrow so I think I must be doing something right!
I got my skype phone to work again and I called Maggie to say Happy Halloween and now I'm off to catch a subway then teach Amy and Sery then to the bookstore! That is a full day for me because it takes so long to get every where!
