So last night Kenny, Eddie and I went to dinner at our favorite thai restaurant then went and saw Resident Evil 3 (zombie movie). It was interesting going to a Korean theater and hard to figure out what movie we were going to see cause they didn't have pictures but we read the Korean words and sounded out Resident Evil! YAY! It was a normal zombie movie.... We also ate some Gelatto ice cream and walked around the mall type thing its called a MEGABOX here. We saw a hat and some shirts that said "Vanana" with a picture of a monkey so they clearly meant it to be banana but V and B are very similar and hard for Koreans to differentiate
Today I had a lesson with Melody and Emily then Danny took me out for lunch and I had a shrimp cream noodle dish that was pretty good then we had a big bowl of salad and Danny dumped yogurt all over the main bowl then dished me up a big plate... and I ate it...
(For some history... I dont like any salad dressings so this was a difficult endeavor for me). We talked about politics and he told me about the December 14th election that was coming up. He wants Korea to go back to a communist party which is what the new guy is promising... It will be interesting to see what ends up happening. He said economically the current guy hasn't done anything for them and democracy really wasn't important when people were more concerned about getting food... I'll write more about our conversation later it was interesting...
LATER...
So I found an article on the Korean Times page againhttp://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/special/special_view.asp?newsIdx=12253&categoryCode=177 it was interesting because it was called The Unexciting Presidential Race which seemed strange to me because Danny made it sound like it was the biggest news ever... It just talks about the different canidates and their strengths and weaknesses and how people don't really care what the outcome is.... hmmm...
