scholarships visa housing etc...

So I talked with a customer at work who said I should look into the Gilman Scholarship for overseas school studies so I looked into that today. It is too late to apply for fall but in mid august I can apply for a scholarship for the spring! I also spent some time looking at the embassy web page again today and filled out my visa application form. We are still waiting to hear if we are going but I am getting myself ready because visa's can take up to 90 days! I listened to my CD somemore this week and have been in contact with "You" who helps people find appartments in Korea at Koreahouse@gmail.com and he sent me lots of information to look into. I've also spent a lot of time looking for teaching jobs but it seems I have to have my BA with everything I have looked into! I look at the Korean Times site everyday to stay up on the news and job offerings so just waiting to hear more!!

July 27th

Have been listening to my Korean CD everywhere I go and reading the Korean Times online daily. Found a couple appartments for rent looks like its not too expensive... I am still having trouble finding a teaching job or even the ESL training for the summer lots of people post things I just don't ever hear back from them...

So I listened to the CD for an other hour yesterday and worked on more of the workbook. My grandma sent me a Korean Language book I haven't had time to read it but I've skimmed through it! It looks like it will be helpful.

Also it looks like just a few days before we find out if we get to go or not! Still trying to contact people about the ESL training but having no luck.

Ocean Shores Trip

So I listened to my Korean Language CD to and from Ocean shores which gave me roughly 5 hours of Korean lessons! It was fun because everyone in the car was saying it with me! I contacted the woman about taking a training course in ESL but after numberous attempts I am finding myself frustrated because she isn't answering my questions so I'm still in search of some information on all that. Eddie has his application sent off and so now we are just waiting to see if he is accepted into the school then we'll know if we are going or not! It looks like it will be about 2 weeks before we find out... I am so nervous!
